In 2023 we considered how to engage students in data-informed practices, as a way to enhance the impact of data on our young people. This session goes one step further and considers the ways in which we engage parents in data and dashboard use. Participants will have the opportunity to report back on their projects and plans for the remainder of the year.

As we know, NAPLAN reporting data changed in 2023, and significant time was spent in the Term 3 2023 sessions considering how we map changes from the old to the new system. In 2024, we will have the first opportunity to track a program year on year, so this session will focus on looking at 2023 to 2024 NAPLAN change. Participants will also report back on their projects and plan next steps.

This first masterclass will look at the processes and cultures of highly effective data-informed schools. We will recap some of the key content from 2023, and use this to plan goals and actions for 2024. Participants will have the opportunity to meet others in the program and will join accountability groups with leaders of similar projects.
